I love my husband so much! I’m never mad at him because he’s the best husband ever!

That’s per my husband’s request :) He doesn’t like when I write about being mad at him. Sorry dude, sometimes I just have to get it out of my system. And if you’re not here for me to knock around like a punching bag when I get pissed, and it’s too dark to go running, I must write. Admittedly, writing is not my preferred method of taking out my frustration but it will do in a pinch.
Day 4: I didn’t upload my picture from yesterday because on the weekends I try to actually get off the computer and live a real life. I have two jobs working online during the week. So I like to try and get out from behind the glow of the screen as much as I can. So here is my photo from Saturday…and it’s extra special because it’s from the first set of pictures ever taken in my new photography studio!

Neither photo is very flattering. We were just testing out the new lighting set-up that we got, hence the lack of makeup on my part and cheesy poses on S.’s part. Still, it’s really exciting for me to see these pictures and realize I’m one step closer to realizing my dream of being able to make a living doing photography full-time!

  1. Congrats on the photo studio, that’s so exciting! LOL at your husband’s attempts to censor your blog. Don’t we know they’re all angels! =)

  6. Rachel, when you’re in Chile, you follow the rules of Chile, and if you don’t like it you can leave. In your country, you might go around taking pictures of studios, but I’ll tell you something down here we take pictures in the studios, not the other way around. I don’t know what you jet-set, cash-flashing gringos think you can play around all day, taking pictures of studios, not in studios, just because you’re smarter than us, and richer than us, well I’ll tell you something we’re kinder, and sweeter than you cold-blooded gringos, Chile is a casita and we make empanadita and everybody’s welcome so why don’t you go back to your country!

  8. Chileno, you can be cranky with people on your own blog…

Rachel, I am going to put up pictures of the studio when it’s done…for now the walls still have massive water stains that we can’t cover up. As soon as it’s pretty enough I’ll show you :)

  9. I can’t wait to see but no hurry. It must be cool to be able to get paid to do something you love. I love what I do too but I can’t seem to get my kids to pay me a dime.

  10. Congrats on the studio! I hope you get many appointments booked up, if not to shoot yourself, then for others to shoot. It’s still money, right? :)

My husband doesn’t read my blog, but his brother does. He would never write anything bad about me, so I feel bad if I think about posting something negative. It’s like taking a shot at a puppy. ;)

You have very green eyes. I never noticed them so much before as in that picture. My eyes change color and I’m never sure exactly what color they are. I should get my husband to take some pictures so that I can decide. :)
