Just two quick notes before I head to bed.

1. Doing yoga before going to bed is like taking drugs — specifically a sleeping pill. Except it’s like a sleeping pill that burns calories and makes you “longer and leaner,” while you snooze. I think it helps that the yoga instructor on my Yoga For Dummies video has the most hypnotic voice ever. She mesmerizes me while I’m in my poses. If she were to say, “Now moving on from downward facing dog…release yourself slowly from the pose. Inhale…exhale. Feel the benefits of the blood rushing to your head. Take a moment to really appreciate the way your body feels at this moment. Now relax. On the inhale, walk to the nearest bridge and jump off on the exhale…” I guarentee that you would find my body the next day floating in Rio Mapocho. Fortunately S. supervises my yoga workouts. He’s also a big fan of downward facing dog.

2. I bought milk with added Omega 3 and 6. Now, I’ll be the first to admit that I have no idea why we need these alleged omegas in our systems. But, they sound super good for you. If they’re being added to milk in Chile, a country where it’s impossible to even find organic anything, I feel they might be important. So when I saw the milk on the shelf, I thought to myself, “I must have that milk. It will make me fit and healthy.” There was a problem though. When I got home and tried to drink the milk it tasted fishy to me. I’m pretty sure this problem is all in my head. Since I know that the Omegas are found in those wily creatures under the water, down where it’s hotta, take it from me…I mentally associated the milk with that gross fishy taste. I have this image in my head of workers shoveling fish guts into one bucket and then taking that bucket to where they milk the cows so they can squirt the milk in and mix it up…and VOILA! Milk with Omega 3 and 6. I mean, how else would they extract omega from fish I ask you? Ah screw it, I don’t even know why I’m rambling. In fact, I’m not even sure that omega is in fish. And it would take way too much out of me to google right now.

Oh yeah…the first pic is of me doing yoga and the second pic is of the delicious Omega free corn soup I made tonight.

  1. I am very particular about my milk. I cannot drink it unless it is really cold. And if there is anything odd about it, even just in my own imagination, forget about it.
The corn soup looks good, too, but only if you don’t read the title above it ;)

  2. Yeah, Im not for messing with milk. I want just plain, cold, well ice cold, milk. And now that you have the idea of fish guts in that milk, I am never going to try it! Thanks. :) I can’t even drink the organic non cold, shelf milk. BUt I do give it to my kids! :P

  3. I’ve just got back from the supermarket and had to tell you that EVERYTHING has omega something or other in it! I’d never noticed it before! Never! But it’s everywhere – they’re mad for it!

So many exclamation marks. So much omega.

Some normal milk would be good, although I only put it in tea so I’m not sure why I’m so particular. The closest I’ve found is Next 0%. It tastes of nothing which is far better than the other larga vida stuff tastes of.

  4. omega 3 and 6 are high in LDL (low density lipo protiens) and help reduce cholesterol. This is naturally found in fatty fish like salmon. :)
