It’s that time again! We need to vote for the next group blogging topic. The poll thingy that I used is different so this time it wouldn’t let me add more than 20 topics. I had to put two polls up to get in all the options we have to choose from so please only vote for one topic. After we narrow it down then we’ll do another vote on Tuesday to choose the final topic.

Ok, hopefully that worked!

Also, stayed tuned because tomorrow I have some exciting news and a giveaway!!!! I’m so excited!

  1. Voted on this one. If one of the more general categories comes out on top I’ll definitely give it a shot this time around. I’ve enjoyed everyone’s post so much and comparing the experiences to Brazil.

  2. I wish I lived in Chile so I could take part in your group blogging!

  3. I absolutely do NOT want to blog about how being in a relationship with a Chilean has changed you because I have this problem… it’s that I don’t know if I AM in a relationship. It’s complicated and I’m trying to tread lightly on all these cultural differences. Plus, he reads my blog. Meh….

  4. Even if it’s a topic that’s sort of about Chile feel free to twist it so you can write about Brazil.

PQ, take part anyways, I won’t tell anyone where you actually live :P

Sara, hahaha, that’s always the way it is in Chile isn’t it? I didn’t really know I was in a relationship with my husband until we were married, hahaha :P So yeah, watch out…

  6. yeah, what about the exciting news?

I voted for: Something that gringos passing through don’t seem to get about Chile (and that, claro, really bugs you)

  7. Until you wre married…crap. I’m thinking I should just bring up the conversation except all of my Chilean friends say that’s the fastest way to make him run far, far, away. But, I reason that I’m a foreigner and am allowed to be a little bit eccentric. Right?

  8. Sara,

I let my husband bring it up. He did eventually. His family pressured him into it, he said,”Is it okay if I tell them you’re my girlfriend?”

  9. The “eventually” is what scares me because I will be leaving in January, but now I am trying to figure out if I should come beack, and obvio, that is a factor.

I’m just sooo confused. I need a lot of advice. Maybe in some way it would be good if that topic won. I can se what other people say, and maybe it will force the issue… thoughts?

  10. Carlos, that’s what I voted for too.

Sara, on one hand, I’d say definitely don’t make a decision based on a guy, but then on the other hand, I completely understand the reasoning behind it if you do. I had to choose whether to stay another semester in Chile with my then boyfriend, now husband or not (after already being here two). In the end I basically thought, why not? We weren’t “pololeando,” we had never even had an exclusivity talk, but we lived together and we were happy together so the whole, no title, no label thing didn’t bother me.

  11. Sara- I would have to say that in my personal experience, Chileans are quick to ask to be pololos. Once they decide they like a girl, they start smothering them with love and affection and then ask pololear. If you are confused just ask him about it,its not worth the worry.
