S., please don’t read beyond this. Thank you. :)

I MUST BUY HIM THIS TOY!!!!!!!!!!! (Says the girl who’s income has just been cut in half).

It is a camera that you put on your dog’s collar so you can have a little video of what life is like from his or her eyes. As blog readers may or may not have realized, S. and I are obsessed with Papito. And S.’s other favorite thing in the world is technology and gadget stuff. It’s ideal! I’m pretty sure Papito wants it too so she can show us what she does while we’re out. :)

Thanks to Julia Alison’s blog for the genius idea.

  1. That is cool.
My cousins once hid their video camera in a clothes basket just to see what their dog did all day. It was kind of funny. The dog would carry shoes all around the house. I think he knew there was a camera because he looked into it a few times.

  2. That is a fun idea! It’s not even excessively expensive. You should get it for him and post the pictures on the blog. :)

  3. I agree with Allie. I want to see what Papito does too.

  4. Well, I know one thing she does. If we are gone for too long she takes pieces of paper, rips them up and then leaves them all over the living room. It’s like she’s punishing us…Papito gets MAD!!! If we had a camera we could see at what moment she gets fed up and how long that takes!

  5. Does Papito run loose during the day? (my guesss is that no), but I’d love to put one of those cameras on one of the dogs that goes out to play all day! See my post on dogs: http://cachandochile.wordpress.com/2009/04/14/chile-its-a-dogs-world/
I would LOVE to vicariously follow one of those pups around all day!

  6. Haha, Margaret, no doubt those dogs have MUCH more interesting lives than Papito. She does not run free. She would DIE. Every time she’s off her leash she goes straight into oncoming traffic. It’s like a game for her!

  7. Too perfect for words. If you could figure out a way to make it send the video to somewhere you could see it online, then you could see what Papi’s up to while you’re on your trip!

  8. That’s a crazy invention, but I’d probably buy one too.

Oh, I haven’t been reading too many blogs lately, but if everyone is still doing the group post, mine is ready.

  9. hahahaha DO IT! I, too, want to see what Papito does. Maybe he could have his own blog. hahahaha.

However given the rules of quantum physics, we can never know what Papito does when there’s no observer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfPeprQ7oGc

  10. Ah crap. I had no choice. NO CHOICE. When I read this, I developed this intensely burning need to know what Deja and Voodoo are doing when we’re not there. That and I’m a gadget geek too :D We’re ordering it.

  11. That’s a great gift idea.

I remember reading about a couple that put a camera on their cat to see what he did when out. Hmm… I think it was on flickr.

Oh yeah, here’s the link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/michaelbenjamin/sets/72157602652072917/

Imagine the pictures Papito might ‘take’.
