My mom just told me that she thought my post titles were really self-centered. Well, she didn’t say so in a mean way, but I got the picture.

However, if anyone out there watches Scrubs then you have probably realized that me putting “My” before every title is a homage to the way Scrubs names their episodes.

As a general rule, all series episode titles begin with the word “My”, unless the bulk of the episode is narrated by someone other than J.D., in which case they are named “His Story”, “Her Story”, or “Their Story”, with Roman numerals denoting subsequent episodes by the same name.

So should I start going back to regular title names instead of putting “My” before everything? I don’t want to come across as a self-centered bitch. I just thought it would be a fun way to incorporate my favorite show ever into the blog.

Real blog post coming later today. We are back in Santiago so I have internet, however, I need to use it to work, and I’m currently making my way through the atomic bomb that is my inbox, plus I want to catch up and comment on all of your blogs! I’m also trying to figure out how to put a calendar as a plug in on the website so that I can display which Saturdays are already taken for the wedding season as I’m starting to get a lot of inquiries for dates I’m booked. And I need to figure out some visa stuff for our travels….like yesterday. UGH. The internet is so stressful sometimes!

  1. Honestly, I had never noticed all your posts start with “My”.
And as long as someone honours “Scrubs”, that's ok! It is too funny.

  3. I noticed and didn't quite get it, but since you said “if you know me you can probably figure it out” I had actually guessed that this was how Scrubs episodes were titled! Hope you're getting everything done as stress-free as possible today.

  4. I didn't even notice. Either that means I'm okay with it, or I don't read closely enough. I say go for what feels right to you, and I do love that show!
