When I’m not photographing weddings and couples, senior portrait pictures are definitely one of my other favorite types of sessions to do! It’s nice to work with someone in such a laid back setting. So I definitely enjoyed my time with Holly in downtown Grand Rapids. We just explored the area a little bit and stopped to take pretty senior pictures of her in front of interesting scenery. :) Plus, it gave me the chance to see Holly’s sister, an old friend of mine. Photography sometimes connects me with the most random people that I probably wouldn’t get to see under other circumstances. I love it!

Holly was really easy to photograph — she’s so cute and smiles naturally.

Her parents own a bowling alley, so they had just one request — Holly with the bowling ball.

I adore this last one. I think Holly thought I was crazy when I asked her to crouch down behind the mailbox, and I had to wait a really long time for the wind to blow her hair perfectly, but it ended up coming out so cool. Totally worth the wait.
