I found Kayley and Kai on Facebook because they had shot a friend’s wedding. I saw her pictures and was pretty blown away, so I contacted them to tell them that I thought they were awesome. Then they responded and said they liked my style too so we set up a session. It was EPIC.

My mom works out at Haworth, a big furniture company out in Holland Michigan who just re-did their whole building. It’s brand spanking new and pretty cool looking. So we got permission to photograph inside and went nuts. I was pretty nervous since Kayley and Kai are such fantastic photographers , but in the end I decided that I wish I could photograph other photographers all the time. They knew just what to wear, how to pose, where the best light was. And just as an added bonus Kayley and Kai look like models.

Kai told me that they love super wide, architectural type shots. Hopefully this fits the bill.

They look like the sexiest corporate employees to EVER walk through the Haworth door.

This was all Kai’s idea. Good thing, because my idea for sending them down there completely did NOT work :)

The one on the right is my FAVORITE!!!!!!! Favorite EVER. I’ve had that idea in my head for so long but none of my clients ever wear ties.

We also went to a top secret (and maybe illegal) spot in downtown G.R.

  1. how did that heart get there in the last one? its cute, but the origin kind of puzzles me.
i like your tie one, and the ones of them in front of the bricks a lot.

i like the building a lot but the nice/newness reminds me a little of ads.
oh, and my favorite is the one inside where she's sitting on a table

  4. These are amongst my fave you've ever shot!!! Wow, every single one of them is just perfect. My fave is the one where you see them down the hall kissing against the red wall. Gorgeous! What a beautiful couple. :)

  5. haha, the heart comes from something called painting with light. It's a super long exposure and then I ran around with a flashlight back behind them to make the heart shape.

  12. I am so impressed by your talent, Kyle. I like all of the department store shots, but I am totally digging the exposed brick of the illegal set. Well done. What a beautiful and sexy couple. :-)
