To explain the madness behind this shoot, Winnie and Sophia are our Couchsurfing hosts here in Munich. They mentioned that they’re in the process of having someone make a website for them that and that they needed photos. I mentioned that we just happened to be professional photographers. I was so happy that we were able to help them out after they’ve been so welcoming to us. And I’m not going to lie, it was pretty awesome shooting their crazy AcroYoga poses.

What impresses me the most is how relaxed they look in every picture. We tried this at class with them and let me tell you — it is strenuous activity!

They took us to an organic farm outside Munich and there a perfect little hill there for AcroYoga pictures. I love how these came out — they look like they’re really flying.

As usual, all pics are a mixture, some taken by me and some by Seba.

  2. im so glad you posted this. my boyfriend and his friends practice something called mano a mano which is like a two person act where you usually lift the other person above your head to do figures. i was telling one lady about your pictures the other day but that i wasnt sure how similar it might be just from that glimpse. this is very cool!

  3. Ok, I can do some of those poses in normal yoga, and they're hard. Doing them balanced on someone's feet? That's crazy!

  5. VERY cool photos!!! What an incredible location too. My friend does this too and I'm constantly impressed with the poses that she can do.

    I didn't know you were a CSer. That's great! It's such a passion of mine. :)

  6. Wow, those are pretty awesome! They remind me of Dirty Dancing, where Baby has to learn how to do the lift :)
