Such a cool city. So tiny though! I was definitely expecting it to be more like the other European metropolises that we’ve been to. It wasn’t and I loved that.

Not sure why I’m posting this first. The sun shining isn’t at all representative of what we’ve seen of Dublin or Ireland in general.

This, however is.

So is this:

Ireland-3753

Meet our Couchsurfing hosts, Agita and Jagger.

Ireland-3750

They’re Russians from Latvia who’ve lived in Ireland for the past seven years. Craziness. Two of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Every other of their stories starts with, “We were just drinking a bottle of vodka when…” Love them.

They took us to a place for breakfast called Kylemore. Cool name, huh? And the food was really good. People were actually lining up waiting for it to open.

I used to think that a big breakfast was a typical American thing. Now I know it’s a typical American thing that was given to us by the Irish. Thank you for that, Emerald Island!

Mmmmm, full Irish breakfasts are wonderful. Too many of them will make you look like a puffy red marshmallow in your rain jacket.
