Fned’s hubby, who is a very good photographer himself, took us out on a little photo expedition of Montmartre, a hill in the middle of Paris where you can get some great views of the city. On the way there I had to go to the bathroom. We stopped to have a coffee at a little cafe, because you can only use restrooms of most places in Europe if you buy something. While we were having coffee, the skies opened up and it started pouring.

Nonetheless, I think we got some good photos. We all got drenched but the sacrifice was totally worth it.

I was loving the weird light refractions caused by the rain.

As a bonus for braving the rain, we didn’t have any people in our way when we went to photograph well known monuments, churches and other general sights of the city.

I want this shoe/couch in my living room. Except I don’t have a living room. Or 900 Euros to spare.

  1. I'm reading a book that features Montmartre, Paris (the monestary, actually). That's pretty neat to see it in modern terms.

  2. I'm thinking of buying a Lensbaby Composer (http://www.lensbaby.com/lenses-composer.php), but I wonder how it compares to the price and usability of your shift tilt lens. Any advice?
