Don’t forget to take my survey and win a pretty picture! Thank you!

So much of the feedback I’m getting is contradictory. Half the people reading the blog want more photos/tutorials/general camera-related things. And the other half wants to see less weddings and photography work. I was thinking of maybe doing something like two posts a day if I have something photography and non-photography related to write about. Say, in the mornings, if I have someone photography related, I’ll post it then, and in the afternoons, if I have something non-photography related I’ll post it then. Or is twice a day too much?

Any other suggestions on how to separate the content in a better way?

In the mean time, since I’ve really been feeling down lately, struggling with all these big decisions and feeling a little trapped, here’s a video to cheer me up, and hopefully give you guys a good laugh. It’s this absolutely absurd white girl dancing like a total idiot on the streets of Italy.

That girl definitely doesn’t feel down or feel trapped. :)

  2. Maybe you could have two sections in your blog: one relating to your life in Chile and more personal stuff etc, and the other one based more on photography. Then you could just post in each category whenever you feel like it. When you want to spill your guts out about life and vent etc, you can post in the “life” category and when you have new photos to display and photography to talk about, you can post in your “photography” section.

  3. Could you have two blogs off your front page? I'm not sure how it'd change the look of the front page, but it's kinda what I'm going to do for my boudoir work – I've got it set up (at http://elizaclairephotography.com/after_dark/ ) but haven't put it as a menu item yet. I love reading both. and if I'm not in the mood to look at photos I just skip onto the previous/next post.

My kids loved the video of you dancing!

  4. Oh Keelay, this comment isn't even remotely helpful regarding what to do with content in your blog, but I love you so much and I'm happy to read whatever the heck you post on here. I'm not even remotely a photographer, but I still read photog tech stuff just 'cause you wrote it.

    xo. Be well.

  5. yesssssssssss amazing. you seemed pretty subdued for kyle style though. btw, i got an email saying the D-man ran into you and emily at that new California bar! Crazy. or maybe not. Anyways, he spelled your names emilie and kaile :) I couldn't help but say to myself, awww how cute. I've kind of missed wacky english spellings.

  6. Yeah, it was kind of crazy to see him randomly in Providencia when in my mind he's supposed to be 2 hrs away! Also, I will take “Emilie” a million times over “Emely” (seriously people, my name is phonetic just like your language, eehhh miiiiii lyyyyy) and “Evelyn.”

  8. Italy holds sort of a special place in my heart. I never got to dance on the street, although I did go and drink by the Trevi Fountain a few times.

Good luck with those major life decisions. I've had a few of my own to deal with. It's stressful
