Thank you so much to everyone who came out last night for our first annual cocktail. We held a little event to celebrate our first official year in business and the turnout was wonderful. I SO appreciated the presents of many of our past and present brides and grooms!

Cupcakes: Cupcake Mania

Venue: Akarana‘s Tapas Bar

Flowers: Seba’s mom (all bought from the Terminal de Flores, more on that below).

I asked Geraldine to make the cupcakes in our official colors, red and purple. They looked spectacular and tasted even better!

More on the Terminal de Flores — this is most of the florists in Santiago buy their flowers. We went to a florist who quoted us 35,000 pesos for ONE arrangement. We bought enough flowers for like 4 big arrangements, multiple small arrangements and bouquets and even the glass bowls and vases for about 40,000 total. The price difference is ridiculous. The red daisies were selling for 1,000 a piece in Recoleta, and at the Terminal de Flores went for 10 of them for 2,000 pesos. To get there — saliendo al norte de Santiago, take the Quilicura exit, address is Av. Presidente Eduardo Frei 1651.

And the best part of the night was the company. We get along so well with all our clients that I always assumed they would all get along with each other if for reason they ever met. And they did. Everyone was totally sociable and we had such a great night!

Thanks again to everyone who came, and to those who couldn’t make it — you were there in spirit!
