Well, we’re leaving for Buenos Aires today even though I’m still pretty sick
There’s not much we could do about it though. We bought the tickets in a LanChile sale so they wouldn’t let us change the flights for a few days later. Fortunately, while not even close to 100%, I do feel infinitely better than yesterday and I’m confident that I’ll be up and ready to go in time for the wedding on Sunday. Seba booked us a nice hotel, it was a little bit more than we had planned on spending, but a justified splurge since our only plan for the next couple of days is to rest in our room. Well, actually I should speak for myself. Maybe Seba’s going to check out what the Argentinean nightlife is all about without me!
And since everyone asked for more pictures with posts, here you go. We really do photograph pretty much every second of our lives, I just don’t like to put many of those up! This was me, Saturday night from 3-5am in the emergency room. Super fun! I felt absolutely chilled to the bone, so cold I was shaking, and they wouldn’t give me any more blankets because I had a fever. Supposedly the IV I was hooked up to was supposed to make me feel better and less cold. Lie. ALL LIES!!! I get cold just looking at this picture and remembering how frozen I was!

Who remembers the famous Converse sneakers?

Seba (my husband, not the groom) took this photo. I think it’s awesome. I know that he’s really talented, obviously, because otherwise I’d fire him, HAHA! But sometimes he even manages to surprise me with his eye.

I love this because of the slightly blurry…slightly dreamy effect.

Look at the emotion on Seba’s face when he sees Meme for the first time. The love that this couple has is so real it’s almost tangible.

I LOVE this photo…I think Meme looks like a wedding dress model. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. And by the look on Seba’s face, I think he’s in agreement.

In their reception, Seba and Meme put on a show for their guests…they danced tango! They’ve been practicing for this since I met them months ago and it came out absolutely incredible. To me, they looked like professional dancers!

This is my favorite photo of the day by far, and I think it might be my favorite out of all the photos I’ve taken in my life. I love the drama of the silhouette, but I also love how you can see their complete joy even with just that one ray of light. Actually, just before taking this picture was when I really started falling apart and feeling awful, but when I shot this I told Seba (my husband), with this picture, if I die tonight, I die happy and proud.

*English translation:
Last night during Seba and Meme’s wedding, the worst happened…I started to feel really sick. Luckily I was almost able to finish out the night — we should have finished at 1:30am but I died at 1am. But, my dear husband finished out the night for me and after the wedding we went straight to the emergency room where they admitted me with a high fever. It sucked. I would have loved to have stayed and celebrate with them instead of leave running for the hospital! And I have to give all my appreciate to the bride and groom for being so understanding.I’ve already written about how special they both are to me, but they really went above and beyond when I was sick — the treated me as a friend — and didn’t once ask, “What about my pictures?”
But, if they would have asked, I would have told them, “I might be sick…but I don’t mess around with the photos, no matter what the condition of the person behind the camera is.”
I’ve been sleeping for the past 20 hours and I feel a little bit better, although I still have a low fever and it’s hard for me to get out of bed. Fortunately, blogging can be done without moving too much so I wanted to upload their pics ASAP…so that Meme and Seba don’t worry about their photos or their photographer.

Hey peeps who read the blog for the wedding photography
You might notice that we’ve opened up the calendar through December of 2010. Yep, we finally decided that we’re definitely going to keep doing wedding seasons in Chile indefinitely. We got enough inquiries that we figured this year wasn’t just a fluke and our first early bird bride has already booked for next December…talk about prepared!
You’ll also see that we have a wedding in NYC in May. So we’ll be back in the U.S. We are going to get our flights this weekend so if you’re getting married around that time and would be interested in us shooting your wedding in the U.S. or in Chile, speak now so we can make sure to be in the right country on the right dates! Last time we were in the U.S. we barely had time to shoot all the sessions we did, so if you’re interested in any engagement pictures or trash the dress photography, or boudoir/couple’s boudoir, whatever — let me know!
