This is my impossible Christmas wishlist. Seba and I actually really aren’t big holiday people. We only occasionally remember to buy each other presents, and sure we’ll do family dinners and what not, but it’s not big deal. For me Christmas, Thanksgiving and the like are simply days that other people don’t work and no one responds to my emails. :) That’s not as sad as it sounds, really. We both buy each other spontaneous gifts every now and again, which is a lot more fun and stress free. And I’m thankful, always. I don’t need the Christmas spirit to put me in the mood.

Most of this is just silly stuff that I’ll only end up getting the day I throw my budget out the window. So yeah, never. But still, it’s fun to online window shop for things I’ll never buy.

I first saw this book at our hotel in Amsterdam and fell in love with every page. It’s the David LaChapelle “Artists & Prostitutes,” book. Some of the images are raunchy but some are such awesome inspiration. And either way, every photo is thought provoking. Alas, it costs $3,614 dollars on Amazon. HA.

Below is a furry vest by Michael Kors (it’s fake fur, just in case any animal activists out there were wondering). I’ve been wanting to rock one of these for a long time but haven’t been able to justify the purchase of something so trendy.

A nice treadmill is something I’ve wanted for a long time so I can stop paying a gym membership and can exercise in the comfort of my own home with no fears of getting ran over. This will be the first thing I save up for after buying an apartment and fixing it up.

And a sewing machine is really the only realistic thing out of any of this crazy Christmas wish list. I would really like to learn how to sew. I don’t mean that I’m going to end up being one of those hippy dippys making all my own clothes from scratch, but I think I’d enjoy some DIY projects or at the very least, being able to hem my own pants.

And then the shoes. Oh the glorious shoes. If I were a bajillionaire, these would be the first things I’d stock in my closet. The Bruno Frisoni mohawks are so beautiful, they literally made me gasp the first time I saw them. J’adore.

If you or someone who’s Christmas shopping for you were a millionaire, what would be on your wish list?

  1. Clothes, clothes and more clothes… (how shallow am I?)…. and I'm definitely with you on the treadmill…. it's something I'd love to have one day, although being as our place is so small, we'd probably have to place it in the middle of our living room… don't think that would fly with hubby.

On Christmas, the thing I like the very, toppest most (even more than the eventuality of presents) is the general atmosphere… I love the frenzy last minute shopping and the bundling up for the cold, the sparkling of the lights and the creativeness of the Christmas dinner, I love the coziness of waking up on a clear late December morning to a cup of hot tea and gathering around the fireplace in your pj's and warm socks and knowing you don't have to go to work that day. Priceless!!!!

  4. The item on the top of my fantasy Christmas wish list would be a rennovated kitchen. I bought this house 8 years ago and have updated lots of things…bathroom, flooring in living room & dining room, etc. but the kitchen could use a HUGE make-over. I'll have to save my pennies :-) I'd also love lots of shoes!!!

  5. omg those Givenchy heels are to die for! i'm not sure what i would buy myself, i know i'm going to be doing a lot more moving around the next few years so a lot of the big things that i would love to have (i.e. a real piano, a house, lots of shoes since i'll have space in the house, etc) will have to wait. if it were for sale, i'd buy the development of vaccines for all the world's illnesses :)

  6. How shallow are you? Just about as shallow as me :)

And yes, I am wondering where we're going to put a treadmill too (in our imaginary apartment that we don't even have yet, haha!) but I figure I'll just have to fit it in with the decor somehow.

Paris during Christmas time must be magical. For as much as the city wasn't for me on an every day basis, I can say that I would LOVE to be in the city of lights around this time of year!

  7. I know, but even when I lived in the U.S. in FL it was hot during Christmas too so I'm just used to it.

  9. Oh my goodness, a dream kitchen makeover, wouldn't that be amazing. But for some reason kitchens are always the most EXPENSIVE room of the house.

  10. Ahhhh, wouldn't a piano be wonderful? That's another thing I'd love to buy. I suck, but I'd still love to be able to play on a daily basis.

And yes, let's buy cure of all the world's illnesses and world peace while we're at it :)

  11. I look forward to returning as well! But, I was tired of the website that I created and enlisted the help of a professional. Plus, I'm really busy treating patients at the moment, because of the holidays. So, it's perfect timing to take a break. I can't wait until it's finished though!!! :)

  13. That's so true about kitchens! For now, I'll have to be satisfied with my impulsive purchas—a wii game system! I bought it & wrapped it under the tree and told Emilio that it was my gift to me, from me. I need more play in my life–video games. LOL!
