A lot of other bloggers have done this and I’ve really enjoyed going back and reading some of what they think are their best posts. I did this a little differently. I don’t necessarily know that these are my bests posts, but they’re the ones I had the best time writing, that I think are the most interesting or thought provoking or funny, divided into Chile-related and non. My favorite post of the year is the very last link.

Non-Chile related:

Chile related:

And my number one post of the year goes to: Top 5 Reasons for Living in Chile I wrote it in a ridiculously sarcastic mood, and clearly, received a number of hate mails regarding that particular post, but I still think it’s funny. :)

  1. Some of my favourite posts are mentioned on here! I really enjoy your sense of humour when talking about Chile, and I remember crying when I read your blog post about your friends' engagement. And of course your couples boudoir session (coming just a week before my first couples boudoir session) was perfect for me to be inspired by – they're some of my favourite images from you, beautiful.

  3. Thank you Eliza, your couple's boudoir pics were great too. I was so glad to see those and feel relieved that I'm not the only (non-porno) photographer offering those kinds of sessions :)

  4. Hi,

I just read your Who are you -post and felt a sting in my conscience for being a lurker :) So I just thought I'd say hi. In case you've been wondering about recent visits to your blog from Finland, that would be me and my boyfriend. We're moving to Santiago in February, so I've been reading a bunch of gringa blogs trying to prepare myself for living in Chile :) My apologies for lurking!

  5. Thanks for sharing your top picks. I laughed out loud while reading Chileans on an Individual Level vs. Society. My husband left Chile and moved here in '96 and just went to Chile recently after being away for nealy 9 years. He had a bit of culture shock. He has decided that customer service in Chile is not what it is in the USA. LOL! Your post on Dachau was moving too. When I was in Munich in '91, I visited and it was an overwhelmingly emotional experience. I know a few people with parents that survived concentration camps and visiting Dachau gave me a whole new perspective. The human spirit is amazing.
