Huge congratulations to our good friends Sarah and Pipe…they got married this weekend and it was BEAUTIFUL. Pipe and Seba go way to back to their school-age days, while I met Sarah completely separately through Chilespouses. It wasn’t until we met up with our respective significant others that we realized they’ve known each other forever. Even in Chile, the world really is a small place.

And the wedding day was an absolute blast. I really enjoyed myself taking pictures and dancing and eating and being married — but aside from that my favorite part of the day was seeing a different side of Sarah. With her family and friends, the people who’ve known her and loved her, she was more outgoing and confident and laid-back. I mean, obviously it was her wedding day, so she was radiant and more gorgeous than ever before. That might have had something to do with it. But she just seemed more relaxed and more…Sarah. I love that. Some brides get too nervous or too excited to feel like themselves during every moment of the day, but Sarah was natural and happy and herself every second. And Pipe was the same as always — the perfect balance to Sarah.

While the girls were getting ready…the guy went to the Fuente Alemana, haha!

Suuuuuuuch pretty eyes! They have a really cool yellow color, they’re absolutely beautiful. And popped even more than normal with the smoky wedding eye makeup!

Question: How many bridesmaids does it take to put one dress on one bride?

Answer: A lot. Always a lot. :)

The guys got ready at the Crowne Plaza…

And then micro’ed it down to San Ignacio!

Thanks to Sarah and her wonderful bridesmaids (who made me feel like a part of the family all day long!) for being so down for anything that they let me take pictures of them in a bookstore! Random, but SO cool! And for getting ready so very quickly that we were actually ahead of schedule and had tons of time to go out and about photographing.

And in the meantime, Pipe was stocking up on massive amounts of Red Bull at the grocery store. We should always do groom’s portraits here!

Look close, there’s a bride and groom down there!

So funny — they could not get the unity candle lit. No one else could see because they had their backs to the audience but Sarah, Pipe, Seba and I were quietly cracking up.

And then when they went back Pipe got tangled in Sarah’s veil, stepped on it, and they started cracking up again! Times like this are my favorites — when those funny quirky moments happen that make a wedding unique. Love it. I’m sure they’ll never forget this part of the ceremony :)

The Circulo Espanol is a seriously stunning location for weddings in Santiago and it’s conveniently located in the center of the city. Hallelujah for drunk people who take public transportation!

The party was soooooo much fun!!! The dance floor stayed packed all night long and Sarah and Pipe totally let loose and got to enjoy their day. I was so happy for them!

  8. No, I think the bride would kill me if I put her dress on a balloon floating away! But it would make for a great picture…

It's actually a little tent type thing that was out on the balcony of the hotel.
