The Clandescuento promo that we ran on Friday sold out! That means we will have about 30 sessions in the next two months. Because of that, I’m on the hunt for new and exciting locations to suggest to our new clients, and I need your help to think of some! I love to shoot in places that we haven’t shot in before.

So tell me where your favorite place in Santiago is — pretty, ugly, modern, old, inside, outside, bar, park, restaurant, it doesn’t matter. Sometimes the most surprising locations make for the nearest photos.

And spread the word — ask your pololos and suegros and co-workers. I want to come up with 30 new places to have as options!

  1. i'm SURE you know about this spot, but when i studied abroad in santiago in 2007, i liked bar 777 (it was right near my hotel, which was near the iglesia san francisco). it's a grimy punky bar, dinky little tables, walls COVERED in graffiti…i think it would be awesome for photos and might go with your style! it would be cool to do a super fashiony-high style shoot there. here is their facebook:

  2. Ooh, ooh! Cementerio General (although I think you already shot there) and Quitapenas, Club Hipico (I asked once and they let me inside the stables to take photos), Barrio San Eugenio (train yards, colorful houses and abandoned factories galore), Calle San Diego and Gruta de Lourdes/surrounding area spring to mind. I like taking photos of Villa Portales, but I'm not sure how it would work for portraits. And Barrio Republica will always have a special place in my heart!

Prepare for the possibility of getting like a million posts from me on this topic.

Congrats on all the new clients!

  5. We did shoot at Cementerio General once but I'd definitely go back. Now convincing a couple to go back is another story. It takes a special kind…

All your other ideas I love, love LOVE. Of course I should've asked you, gringa who's visited practically all the Santiago comunas! Thank you so much! And if you want to leave a million posts on this topic I will not be opposed :)

  6. You're severely overestimating my coolness. I had definitely never been to that bar before but it looks awesome! Thank you so much!

  7. Next to the Radisson hotel at the beginning of Vitacura (crossing Vitacura/Nuevo Tajamar), there is a square filled with embraced bodies/couples placed into the ground (hard to describe). I definitely think a photo session there would work out, if you manage to cancel the fugly buildings around the square a bit.

  8. Casa de la Cultura de Ñuñoa might be an option.

  9. I've seen it before! Actually I have shot around there once and we did a couple shots with the embraced bodies, but didn't spend too long. I'd love to go back!
