Bet you never thought you’d see the day that my blog post would say something about a photo session in Estacion Central. I give huge kudos to Will and Anita for putting their total trust in me. They wanted something urban and gritty. I suggested that they come out by where we live. I’ve mentioned this to past couples, who have gently declined the invitation :) I understand. Estacion Central isn’t known as the nicest neighborhood. But, I swear, it’s really not ghetto at all in most parts, and it has some fantastic backdrops for pictures that have had me wanting to shoot here for forever.

I only thought we were going to assaulted once!

Anywho. Anita is absolutely adorable. She’s so tiny and cute — I just want to wrap her up, put a bow on her, and give her to Will for Christmas. Not joking. And he’d love it.

I don’t get to shoot couples who have kids, without their kids very often. Most of the pairs that we photograph are about to get married or have just gotten married and don’t have babies quite yet. Anita and Will have a little baby girl. And it was interesting to see the way their relationship was different from our newlywed subjects. Will treated Anita with a tenderness that I’ve never seen in any of our other couples. I’m not saying that he loves her more or that their relationship is better than everybody else’s. Maybe he does love her more. Maybe their relationship is better than everybody else’s. And maybe that’s because she’s the mother of his child, or maybe it’s not. I don’t know, I only got to hang with them for an hour and a half and I’m no expert! All I know is that there is a depth to their love that shows every single time they look at each other.

Example:

The above photo stopped me in my tracks when I saw it.

YES. I love this photo.

And this shot that Seba got.

Seriously. How fricken cute are they?

Bling BLING!!!

Woaaaaaaah. Little experiment here :)

Favorite. Anita looks stunning.

Aaaaand more favorite. See? Good things happen in Estacion Central. It’s where the magic is made. LOVE this one!!! Love it SO MUCH.

  7. These are awesome! And I don't know if it's just because you said it, but I definitely see the deep love. Please stop taking pictures that make me want to have babies. I really like the one just after the black and white, where Will's looking at the top of Anita's head, but I think my favorite is Seba's – really looks like a piece of art with the added bonus of having them in there too!

  45. You're SO right…the tenderness is oozing in these photos. The 1st one just took my breath away. I loooooove the shot of them walking along the blue wall…however you did that is genius! I bet their daughter is beyond adorable.

    Comment by GlobalButterfly — June 16, 2010 @ 5:14 pm

  46. I really liked all of these shots. I think I would like to see one of the “experiment” shots with just her walking on one side and he on the other and them meeting in the middle with the focused shot.
