So glad we got the chance to do a trash the dress session with Anna and Andrew! It gave us the opportunity to get to know them a bit more and we also visited some stunning locations in Santander. All around win :)

First stop, the forest.

I know this photo is a bit dark, but I absolutely LOVE it. I think it’s my favorite of all the forest pictures. Something about it just gets me.

Actually… no. Maybe this is actually my favorite of all the forest photos!

And now off to the beach….

I know you have already seen this photo before. But it’s one of my absolute favorites, I had to post one more time!

We rocked the parking lot shots too, to get in a little of everything — natural, beach, urban :)

I might like these laying down shots in black and white even more than in color. Either way, Anna and Andrew look STUNNING!

This continues to be my favoritest of all time. J’adore X 1000!!!!!!!

Not that anyone could ever get sick of Anna and Andrew’s lovely faces — it’s just that I haven’t had time to finish editing photos for their trash the dress session blog post yet, so I figured we’ll save those for next week.

Until then we’ll just keep going with a couple more of Spain!

Since I’m not about to hand over my life savings camera to a stranger on the street to take a picture of us, we have to get creative in order to have any shots of the two of us traveling together!

Did you know that (…nooooow, you knoooooow*) this super bear is the symbol of the city of Madrid? Yeah. Me neither.

The city of Madrid is so warm and fuzzy that all the playgrounds for little kids spontaneously combusted into heart shaped toys.

*Did anyone actually get my obscure Bill Nye The Science Guy reference before checking out the link? My search for a Youtube video of him saying “Did you know that….noooooow you knoooooow,” was futile!

Do you ever get a gut instinct that something is so, so right?

That’s how I felt when Anna and Andrew wrote to me. I mean, yes, their wedding sounded really cool and unique. Yes, it was going to be in Spain. But even more than that, I could just tell that they are good to the bone. And yes, my instinct really is that powerful — even across oceans, via email.

It has not let me down yet.

The minute we met Anna and Andrew at the airport in Santander, I knew I was right. They are the kind of people you wish you knew more of. The kind of people that everybody wants to be around. The kind of people that make you smile, and then keep smiling, and then keep smiling so hard your cheeks actually hurt, because they’re both so happy and funny and full of life.

Of course they argue. No couple is perfect. I even heard they almost called off the wedding the night before. But that just made me like them even more. Because for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. For instance, I know for a fact that with big dreams, come big fears. And with big love comes big passion, sometimes in the form of anger :)

The beauty is in the balance.

Anna and Andrew, I hope for every time you’re angry, afterwards, you feel love a thousand times stronger.

BUM!

The wedding was held at the absolutely gorgeous venue, Deluz.

Y en espanol, para las novias que se casan en Cantabria:

Centro de eventos en Santander: Deluz

Torta: Iced Wishes by Louzya Matthews.

Vestido de novia: Yolan Cris

Fotografo de boda: Kyle Hepp

Andrew’s mom made this cake!!! I’m sure he knew she was amazing before, but after seeing this masterpiece I think she’s now officially amazing.

Seba’s view on the left, mine on the right. I love being able to give two totally different perspectives of the same moment. It’s kind of cool.

When Andrew saw this tilt shift photo for the first time he said, “Awesome. Did you take this with that one really cool lens?” That moment just confirmed that they’re truly a perfect fit for us.

Seba got this shot below and I LOVE it. For some reason it just grabs me. Must be the half face. We all know how I love my half faces :)

Batman + garter = amazeballs.

Anna really loves cinematography so I wanted to create some dramatic images for her. I love the feel of these next couple of shots!

The night ended with tequila shots. They even made us take one with them! Though, I totally wussed out and took like…a sip instead of an actual shot. As Andrew said, “Yours is more of an essence of tequila.” But still, full shot or not, we appreciated being included, as if we were true family :)
