While I could definitely try to fool you and say this photo shoot was a long time in the making, that’s be a total lie. On Thursday we went into the storage part of Seba’s family’s house and just started pulling out antiques. The only planned part of all of this was the door. BooYEAH!

So Friday Seba spent cleaning off all the stuff, that had decades, and decades, and decades of dust on it, and on Saturday we took off for Algarrobo, to meet up with Lucie and Felipe. Pia came along to lend a hand and of course, the bestest hair and makeup artist in the whole wide world, Rodrigo Farah, came to help make Lucie extra beautiful. Everyone pitched in to help us lug the mannequin, iron, harp, etc. out to the field, and when the big moment arrived, I’m proud to say that my idea, that was barely even a baby idea, came to fruition better than I had ever imagined!

If you’re confused by my blahblahblah’ing, look at the pictures. May I present to you, a fantasy themed photo shoot — From Light to Dark: Starring Lucie and Felipe.

The End.

  4. WOW, Kyle! My favourite is the one of them in the window frame looking in opposite directions – there’s something so other-worldly or visual puzzle about it or something.

    Amazing work!!

  7. What an awesome photo shoot. I love too many of them to mention; 4,23 and 24 especially(I could go on and on).

How did you get the door to stand out there? Is Seba hiding behind it? And the one where she is looking through the key hole, the blue part, is that her eyeball looking through from the other side?

    Beautiful work Kyle and Seba!

  10. Amazing. Simply amazing. There’s such a fantastically compelling dream-like narrative woven into these images and, as ever, they’re beautifully made.

  13. GREAT JOB! I love how it all came together. My fave pic is the 5th one down where the pine needles are in the forefront of the pic and they are on the ground.

  14. Whimsical, slightly weird in the best way, like Savadore Dali stepped into an engagement shoot. I love it.

  25. It turned out so cool! My favorite though – despite the fact that there are no cool props in it – has to be the one where Lucie’s looking over her shoulder at Felipe with that little smile on her face. I just love her expression.
