I have a bad cold and we need to leave the house tomorrow at 7am to fly out for Michigan. I’m running on empty right now so forgive the short post.

For now let me just leave you with two of the sweetest human beings on the planet. Wedding is coming soon. Prepare to fall in love with Jennifer and Dieter and their love. I’ll write more about that with their next post :)

By the way, while we shot some of the engagement session in downtown Tampa, we started out at University of Tampa. It’s my alma mater. I chose to go to school there primarily because of how gorgeous it is.

I knew as soon as took the one below that it was going to be my FAVORITE from the session!!! Love it so much, I actually feel a little better just looking at it.

Maybe 3 silhouette pictures is too much, but I love them all. LOVE.

Raeanne came to me with some ideas that were music to my ears — vineyard, horses, laid back family session. Right up my alley. I love anything and everything that is different, and shooting a family session at Haras de Pirque definitely counts as a one of a kind experience! We had such a good time with her, Pablo and Martin, running around, enjoying the fresh air and taking some pretty pictures.

Love this last one. It deserves to be hung up gigantic on their wall!

I know I’m a little late, but better than never, right? Plus, I just did a gratitude post, so I wasn’t sure if I had anything to add to the subject.

Today, sitting around the turkey, I thought to myself, “Nothing makes you thankful for your health quite like having been dangerously close to becoming roadkill. The deadest flavor of roadkill, obviously.”

So you know, I’m still particularly grateful to be alive. I try hard not to take a single day for granted, though I don’t believe people who say, “I don’t take a single day for granted!” because that’s impossible.

But I’m also thankful for being the owner of my time.

I blog every day because I want to. Sometimes I’m tired and would rather go to bed, but even when it interferes with sleep, I still love doing it. Writing feels good.

I take pictures because I like the challenge of getting to know people and trying to show who they are via the photos. It’s hard enough to keep me on my toes and I find that enjoyable.

I can sleep in or stay up late if I want to, unless I have a meeting or something that I’ve scheduled in the morning. Keywords there being, “I’ve scheduled.”

I know right now that I’m actually perpetuating the myth that my life is glamorous and perfect. It’s really not. But I love it anyway.

If (when) I complain about any aspect of it, feel free to punch me in the face.

Care to share what things have made you thankful this Thanksgiving or what makes you thankful on any given day of the year?
