You’ve seen me dancing like an idiot in Italy. You’ve seen me dancing like an idiot in Spain. It’s about time you see me dancing like an idiot in my country of residence, Chile. Dancing like an idiot is pretty much a favorite hobby of mine. I actually really did like this music. It made me want to grab a lighter and sway to the music like they did in the pot-smoking hippy days. Are you sick of my dancing videos yet? Next time I have to figure out how to get Seba in there. The man can’t and/or won’t cut a rug to save his life, but lord help me, I do love him :)

Naomi and Rodrigo are lucky enough to live in Puerto Varas — their real life happens in the place where the rest of us go to vacation. LUCKY! However, this means that they just got into Santiago this week so we shot their engagement session just a few days before the wedding. I’m so glad we got to go hang out a little bit before the big day though. They’re a really sweet couple and we can’t wait to shoot the boda on Saturday. It’s going to be held in the same place where we shot their e-session — Felipe’s parent’s home. The grounds are stunning. It’s like a lush green oasis in Santiago. You have to see it to believe it. I was shocked when we walked in. I felt like I had just stumbled into the secret garden or something.

Love this one. I think the light is beautiful and I also really like that it shows off Naomi’s cute braid!

You’ll be seeing more of this special spot soon :)

This bamboo spot was my favorite. I want to start growing a bamboo jungle in my new apartment that looks just like this.

And this last one is my number pick from the session. J’adore! Beautiful colors and a happy almost bride and groom on a lovely day. You just can’t ask for more.

Seba got the crazy idea into his head that he wanted to drive all the way out to a place called Embalse de Yeso. So we packed up the car and a picnic lunch, grabbed Papito and Maria and Luis and headed out. It’s a damn where melted snow comes down off the Andes and forms a huge beautiful lake that is Santiago’s water reserve.

The drive out is long. You pass San Jose de Maipo and keep going. The pavement turns to dirt road and you keep going. You come to the dam and you keep going. Finally you reach a place where you can get close to the water’s edge. Or in it. Sorry, people of Santiago.

The breeze up there is brisk and cool. The water is a beautiful blue-green. I took iPhone pictures the whole way up and tweeted them until we lost signal. I wish there was a way to use the iPhone to capture how fresh the air tastes or good the smushy mud feels in between your toes. Unfortunately, Apple just isn’t that advanced, so I’ll show you some pictures instead.

Papito had the time of her life. Sadly, we couldn’t bring Machasa because he still freaks out in the car and he would’ve been crying and having a panic attack in the back seat for two and a half hours there and two and a half hours back.

Maria and Luis are hardcore.

Papito made a friend, who oddly enough, looks very similar to Machasa. She knows her type.

This is Seba’s favorite new post whenever I tell him to smile for the camera. Liberace.

In case you can’t tell, that little black blob is Papito. She suddenly developed a case of Ferocious Guard Dog and wouldn’t let her stray friend near our stuff.

For the sake of full disclosure I feel like I should tell you — that’s not a bathing suit. I forgot one. So basically what I’m saying is that I just posted some pictures of myself in my underwear on my blog.

That’s me way out there! It never got deep. I was trying to get to the green, but I didn’t make it.

The only other signs of life up at the Embalse el Yeso, are truckers, coming down from the mine around there or going back up.

These pictures are so cute I think my head is going to explode. I LOVE Papito’s squinty face. It’s my favorite!

My other favorite is when Papi lays down on her stomach and stretches out completely from front paws to back paws. We call it “Papi’s going Largo.” If she does the same, but on her side, that’s the “Modified Largo.” I don’t know why I’m so obsessed with this. Maybe because she doesn’t do it very much. Maybe because I love her to pieces. These next two photos make me smile SO BIG.
