It’s funny because most of the time, you can get a sort of first impression of a person just based off of the emails they send. Maria sent very all-business emails and we really didn’t chat too much about anything other than the details of her upcoming wedding. I was expecting her to be a little serious when we met in person.

But man, was I wrong! Maria and Luis are made of pure energy. Maria is a Chilean who grew up in the U.S. and Luis is Cuban-American who has lived in the U.S. for his whole life. Together, they’re a little bit Chilean, a little bit Cuban and a little bit Miami. Their personalities actually made me homesick for Florida! I love people like this who are capable of taking different cultures and blending them together, keeping only the best of each world. Maria and Luis have the balancing act down. We had SO much fun during their photo session and I think it shows. Good conversation, good company, good times, and most importantly good pictures.

ETA: I cannot believe I forgot to mention Rodrigo Farah here! What was I thinking?! He did Maria’s hair and makeup to PERFECTION, as always. The man is amazing. Rodrigo also stuck around and helped us out with the photo shoot. Best. Assistant. EVER. Hired! I think he has a future in photography :)

  7. I was all ready to say how I loved their first outfits – coordinated but not in a cheesy way, and nice crisp black and white against the neutral backdrop – and then I got to the second outfits. And I LOVE the combination of those with the bright colors you found in the scenery!
