I don’t even know how to describe my next subject. Words really don’t do her justice, but I’ll try. Ashley’s actual job title is Official Internet Badass. Have you heard of The Middle Finger Project? In her own words, the site is about “rejecting the status quo & rebelling against mediocrity.” In other words, she’s a girl after my own heart. I was hooked on her blog before I even got past the title, but once I did make it that far, I was so impressed. Ashley is an incredible writer. Take her latest post, for instance. She starts off talking about a bloodied chicken and ends it off making me want to change the way I run my business. Either I’m easily influenced, or Ashley is one smart cookie. I think it’s the latter. I hope it’s the latter.

And in case you were ever considering meeting Ashley in real life, all I have to say is DO IT. She’s even more charismatic and fun to be around than her internet persona — and that’s saying something. Ashley is vibrant and intelligent  and just as beautiful as she is witty. Some people have all the luck. May I present to you: Ms. Ambirge.

Seriously, do you love her yet?

Aren’t we so clever?

Ashley likes series of photos, so here we go!

Yes, of course, we had to find more than one way to get a few middle fingers in there. Don’t worry. Ashley is not flipping you off, she’s flipping the status quo off.

I LOVE this next shot of Ashley. Adore it. Heart it. How many ways are there for me to explain how crazy about this photo I am?

As soon as Ashley asked me to shoot her, I got this idea in my head. But Emily was the one who came along and reminded me to remember to do my idea (even though she didn’t know what it was). She’s the backbone of my business. Vital, really :)

I think this is my second favorite photo of the day. Digging this lighting on Ashley’s pretty face!

  5. That first Emily is not me! I am going to need a more unique name for internet purposes, clearly.
Anyway, I am glad I could help remind you of your idea because it turned out awesome. I love those darker shots with flash, and the head shaking pictures look great too. I always think it’s so fun to tag along on your shoots and then see the finished product because the way you frame and light your shots means the pictures always look different than the reality of people walking by in the background and a weird girl shaking her head in the middle of a plaza :)
