So tired. We just got back from Molly’s destination wedding in Breckenridge and all of a sudden the whole week came crashing down on me. You know how wedding weeks are — so much fun, but also very overstimulating. I felt like I was going 100 miles an hour trying to soak up every possible minute of hanging out with Molly and Ben. And now it’s back to reality.

This morning we woke up at the butt crack of dawn (that’s 8am for me), drove 2 hours from Breckenridge to Denver, flew out of Denver in the afternoon, caught a connecting flight (that was delayed) from Chicago to Grand Rapids and arrived only to find that American Airlines had lost one of our suitcases (Again. This exact same thing happened last time we came to GR). We made it to my mom’s house around 11:30pm tonight. Long day.

In good news though, we got all exit row seats on both flights. Plus, I did massive amounts of work en route. And we made it back safe and sound. Sunday, the highway out of Breckenridge was closed in both directions because it was blizzarding and a ton of flights were grounded too. We were lucky we had planned on leaving Monday anyways.

We’re happy to be in one place for a little while now. Yay, Michigan! C’moooooooon,Springtime! Down with crazy extreme weather. Up with dresses and sandals.

  3. Oh yes, I know how wedding weeks are – that’s exactly how I felt after Sydney and Brian’s wedding! I’m glad you guys get a break now, and I hope your suitcase joins you soon.

  4. It looks like there’s a giant weird face at the right side of this photo, like about halfway down. Does anyone else see that or am I going crazy? Also, glad you’re safe in Michigan! I hope you’re enjoying your niece.

  7. Neither our trip there nor back was as snowy, but the whole time we were there it was blizzarding! I can’t imagine driving in that, you’re a brave soul!
