Airport to airport. Like ashes to ashes, but less depressing. I just thought that title had a nice ring to it.

We’re on a whirlwind trip to Buenos Aires right now. It’s not whirlwind because we’re here for a short time. It’s whirlwind because we’re running around like crazy people trying to meet up with everybody we know in this city, which surprisingly, is a lot of people. This place is seriously exhausting! The city is so big and the pace is fast.  Yesterday I was too tired to even put up a blog post.

And tonight I’ve been without internet for the past hour, so I am just now able to upload this! It’s ok, I get shocking amounts of photo editing work done when I don’t have internet.

Anyways, I did do a little photo documentation as we traveled from Santiago to Buenos Aires. I’ll put up pictures of the actual city, which is far more interesting, tomorrow.

SCL:

EZE:

We arrived right around sunset. I cannot BELIEVE the temperatures right now. It should be early winter here, but instead it’s 75 degrees, gorgeous and humid. Feels like Miami. Global warming sucks. But I’m not complaining about feeling the sun on my face, that’s for sure.

We took a bus/transfer into the city. EZE is about an hour outside of Buenos Aires. You can take a taxi, it’s not too expensive, but a bus is far cheaper and just as fast.

Once we arrived we got to see Andi, the reason we’re here!!! We met up with her, her fiance, Lucas, and her brother, Alex. The five of us ate at an Argentine steak restaurant, of course. When in Rome…

However, I’m not a huge meat person. The salad? That’s all me.

And Andi also bucked the trend, with prawns.

Seba got meat. Duh. Look at the poor little cow stuck on the top! It says, “I’m well done.”

  6. It’s amazing how different SCL looks now from how it looked back in March 2010, when the ceiling tiles had crashed to the floor and check-in was taking place in tents!

Have a blast in Buenos Aires! I hope to make it there someday soon.

  9. Haha I love that cow/steak picture. That just seems cruel. No cheese or meat? Goodness girl what do you eat? (probably healthy stuff – good for you!)
