I don’t normally post a lot of details of the weddings we shoot. Why? Because a wedding is all about people laughing and having a good time and the ceremony and the commitment that the bride and groom are making to each other. What else would you expect one of the curators of Moment Junkie to say? :)

Because of this, I think I tend to attract brides that really aren’t as detail oriented. Which is totally fine. I don’t mind at all. Details are not the amazing part of a wedding for me, the people are.

BUT, when it came to Andi and Lucas’ destination wedding in Buenos Aires, Argentina, we got a double whammy — insane details AND wonderful people. It’s the best of both worlds :)

For that reason, I’m doing a whole post dedicated to the details of this wedding. FYI, many of these photos were taken by the excellent Nando of Feather and Stone Photography. He ROCKS. If you guys need a wedding photographer in Australia, check their whole team out!

But first of all, their slideshow is done. If you want to watch it, check it out here!

So on to the details. Andi’s wedding style was super luxe, super fun and above all else, perfectly her. She and her wedding planner, Julie Watson, did such a good job hitting on a style that was super representative.

She had these AMAZING invitations designed to represent she and Lucas’ journey — it says love above Charlotte, where Andi lives, it says amor above Buenos Aires where Lucas lived, and it has a heart in Brazil where they got engaged.

Little butterfly champagne glasses, because butterflies are kind of her thing :)

Gorgeous Manolos.

The hotel had chocolate dipped strawberries waiting in the room for the bride to be.

Look at the lion feet!

The clutch has Andi and Lucas’ names and their wedding date sewed onto the inside.

See how the necklace perfectly matches the ring? Andi’s grandparents, who couldn’t attend the wedding, had a necklace designed to go with her engagement ring. They gave it to her at the airport. How sweet!

These little boxes of chocolate were in the gift bag and I can perfectly vouch that they were YUM.

The ring tray had the same design burned onto it as the invitations. It was made by the very talented Dawn Perry Dalto!

Love/Amor.

Andi’s friend handmade her this garter with the little elephant charm on it.

Lovely sign in frame courtesy of Kirsten Alana!

Love these little paper airplanes sprinkled everywhere to show Andi and Lucas’ love for travel.

The table settings were gorgeous!

A vintage suitcase to hold place cards goes perfectly with the theme!

Mouth = watering just thinking about this dessert buffet!

And I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the wedding planner, Julie Watson, one more time. If you are in Buenos Aires and need event and/or travel planning, do not hesitate to contact Julie!

  4. Everything about this was just perfect! I never paid attention to wedding at all until I got married a year ago (and did all the planning and DIY stuff myself), and now I can really appreciate all the thought and care that go into every last detail.
