I don’t even know where to begin. Sometimes I feel like I don’t know the bride and groom well enough, but this time I feel like I know Andi so well that I could write ten blog posts about her.

She is an amazing human being. That’s pretty much the bottom line. You read her blog and you go, “There’s no way this girl could actually be this nice in real life.”

And then you meet her…and she’s even nicer in person. Andi has such a giving spirit and happy energy. She believes in people and always looks for the best in them. She’s trusting. She writes my mom thank you notes. She hugs people all the time and tears up constantly because she feels so moved when other people do nice things too. When she wants something, she’s unstoppable. Above all, she loves life and lives it like very few people have the guts to do.

Andi and Lucas’ destination wedding in Buenos Aires brought people together from all over. I think it absolutely speaks volumes about Andi’s character and her kindness and her charisma that there were so many people willing to fly half way around the world to be there to celebrate with her and Lucas on their special day. And not just “so many people,” but so many awesome people.

I didn’t meet Lucas until a few days before the wedding, but I liked him instantly. He’s levelheaded and has a calm energy. He keeps Andi grounded. At the party, I was standing on a chair taking pictures of the dancing. Lucas grabbed my hand and made me join in on the dancing. Then I realized he was doing that to anyone who was on the sidelines not dancing (even the photographers).

And that made me realize, he’s a perfect fit for Andi. He’s helping her bring everybody together.

I’m so thrilled that we got to be there and be a part of this amazing event, as wedding photographers and as friends. I raise a glass of champagne tonight in honor of this incredible couple — because Andi is the only other person I know who loves the bubbly as much as I do :)

On another note, the wonderful Fernando from Feather & Stone joined in on the fun! We met up with him and Suzanne on Friday since they’re taking a year sabbatical to live in Buenos Aires and from there the plans were made! Thanks so much Fernando for helping out! You’ll see some of his images once we post the slideshow.

Bet Alex didn’t realize Seba was taking a picture when he was making kissy faces at himself in the mirror :) Kidding, that’s probably not what he’s doing (or is it?) but that’s what it looks like!

This picture is so cool I don’t even know how it’s happening.

GORGEOUS. Andi looked beyond stunning on her wedding day. So I had to half face her. Because that’s what I do. And I think this is my favorite half face image to date. I LOVE it!

Actually this below picture is by Fernando! I like how he focused on the dress as Andi walked down the aisle. The texture of the gown was really sweet, it deserves to be seen!

This is Alex’s Trying Not To Cry Face. He made it repeatedly throughout the ceremony. So cute. He’s such a good little brother to Andi!

Right after the ceremony. I love this capture.

You can barely see because the photo is so small, but Maria is crying. She’s such a good friend to Andi and such a kind person. I asked her to bring down a new camera for us, and she said yes without even blinking an eye. So nice.

And no, this is not a museum in Wisconsin! It’s a bridge called Puente de la Mujer, in Buenos Aires, by the same architect.

Cake cutting…cake tasting!

  30. Absolutely love these. Andi and Lucas are such an amazing couple and she looks so beautiful, like a princess. I love that picture of her in the tub and him standing over her. It kind of makes me think of an image from their future. Her relaxing but looking like she’s thinking about a few things, him standing behind her as such a tower of support. I love it.

I’m so glad you were their photographer, Kyle. The perfect photographer for their perfect day. :)
