I don’t normally post a lot of details of the weddings we shoot. Why? Because a wedding is all about people laughing and having a good time and the ceremony and the commitment that the bride and groom are making to each other. What else would you expect one of the curators of Moment Junkie to say? :)

Because of this, I think I tend to attract brides that really aren’t as detail oriented. Which is totally fine. I don’t mind at all. Details are not the amazing part of a wedding for me, the people are.

BUT, when it came to Andi and Lucas’ destination wedding in Buenos Aires, Argentina, we got a double whammy — insane details AND wonderful people. It’s the best of both worlds :)

For that reason, I’m doing a whole post dedicated to the details of this wedding. FYI, many of these photos were taken by the excellent Nando of Feather and Stone Photography. He ROCKS. If you guys need a wedding photographer in Australia, check their whole team out!

But first of all, their slideshow is done. If you want to watch it, check it out here!

So on to the details. Andi’s wedding style was super luxe, super fun and above all else, perfectly her. She and her wedding planner, Julie Watson, did such a good job hitting on a style that was super representative.

She had these AMAZING invitations designed to represent she and Lucas’ journey — it says love above Charlotte, where Andi lives, it says amor above Buenos Aires where Lucas lived, and it has a heart in Brazil where they got engaged.

Little butterfly champagne glasses, because butterflies are kind of her thing :)

Gorgeous Manolos.

The hotel had chocolate dipped strawberries waiting in the room for the bride to be.

Look at the lion feet!

The clutch has Andi and Lucas’ names and their wedding date sewed onto the inside.

See how the necklace perfectly matches the ring? Andi’s grandparents, who couldn’t attend the wedding, had a necklace designed to go with her engagement ring. They gave it to her at the airport. How sweet!

These little boxes of chocolate were in the gift bag and I can perfectly vouch that they were YUM.

The ring tray had the same design burned onto it as the invitations. It was made by the very talented Dawn Perry Dalto!

Love/Amor.

Andi’s friend handmade her this garter with the little elephant charm on it.

Lovely sign in frame courtesy of Kirsten Alana!

Love these little paper airplanes sprinkled everywhere to show Andi and Lucas’ love for travel.

The table settings were gorgeous!

A vintage suitcase to hold place cards goes perfectly with the theme!

Mouth = watering just thinking about this dessert buffet!

And I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the wedding planner, Julie Watson, one more time. If you are in Buenos Aires and need event and/or travel planning, do not hesitate to contact Julie!

Yay! An apartment update! It’s even more destroyed than the last time you saw it. We were back in Chile for two of the shortest weeks of my life (were, we’re not anymore) and while we were here, Seba made some progress. He got the workmen to come in and do the electric re-cabling. Plus, we wanted light switches and ceiling lights in about ten bajillion other places than what was currently there. Nothing drives Seba more crazy than bad light in a room.

Below: You are looking into our office.

Re-wiring, isn’t that just lovely?

The “kitchen” has also now been de-tiled. I’m using the word kitchen lightly here.

This is the bathroom floor. See where the floor goes down? That used to be a closet. But now it’s going to be part of my Super Gigantic Most Excellent Bathroom.

It still weirds me out to see the exposed building. It looks so creepy.

Poor electrician had his work cut out for him!

Trying to figure out how we’re going to do the bathroom. Maybe we should’ve thought of these things before we started knocking down walls. At least that’s what my mom would say.

After this comes the fun part — putting the place back together, patching up the holes in the walls that are left, finding a floor that we like for the bathroom and kitchen, etc. We aren’t back until the very end of June, and even then I’m home for like a week before leaving again, so I guess in that week’s time I’ll have a lot of decisions to make. After that I’m going to go shoot more weddings outside of Chile without Seba :( We decided that we want him to stay in Chile so he can eventually get this remodeling thing finished — kind of hard to do when we’re never in the country. So he’s staying behind for any new weddings we book outside of Chile.

Estimated move in date: Never.

Kidding.

Supposedly we should be able to finish this baby in two months if Seba is here and able to get the workers to do his bidding for the whole two months straight. We’ll see how much money we have before we decide whether we’re doing the bathroom and the kitchen. Even if we can only finish the bathroom though, we’re still moving in. Who needs a kitchen to live? Unnecessary waste of space. I used to keep shoes in my oven. I’m not just saying that because cool Carrie in Sex and the City did it. I really did. The only reason I currently don’t do so is because I live in the house whether other people (read: the maid) actually get some usage out of the oven.

Point of this story being, I personally believe that the apartment is pretty close to livable, as is :)

Just one for now. I LOVE it. A stray dog came into Sam and Titi’s first look. That’s so Chile.
