Last week I asked if anyone was interested in a newsletter. The reason behind my question was simply that I read a lot of business blogs and more and more have been hearing about the importance of having a newsletter. However. I, myself, don’t usually read newsletters. I’ll often sign up and then delete the emails when they hit my inbox. Then I realized, wait! I do read some newsletters. I read the ones that have really amazing content, or the ones that are similar to the blog they’re connected to, but offer unique content. So I decided, if I did make a newsletter, I’d make it awesome. Just over 40 people said they wanted a newsletter and 12 people said they did not. Newsletter for the win.

So, here goes nothing! Sign up, if you’re so inclined. The first one will focus on photography and probably post processing since that is a frequently asked question around these parts.

And the beautiful thing about a newsletter is that if you’re not interested, you can skip over this next box and carry on with your life and your hopefully daily reading of this blog with no interruptions.

Now on to the fabulous Mia’s photo shoot. Mia is a poet/comedian. I have it on good authority that she does amazing/really fricken funny performances. While we were in London, I tweeted out that we were looking for a place to stay in Surrey the night before Sarah and Gus’ wedding. Mia kindly responded offering up her own house! We told her we’d do a photo shoot if she wanted in exchange. Sadly, we ended up not being able to stay with Mia and her roommates but we DID do the photo shoot anyways! It was a gorgeous day. We revisited the SouthBank Centre for the photo session. I looooove this place for pictures. I could shoot at least ten sessions there and still find new backdrops and interesting lines to use.

I’ll put up a link to Mia’s website once it’s up and running so you all can watch videos and see how funny she is for yourself!

Love. Her. Hair. Want it.

It was a windy day but I think that hair flying everywhere adds to Mia’s modelsque look.

    • Max, we are really lucky to be able to meet so many cool people! Only problem with all this traveling is that we never hang out with our friends in Chile :)

  5. Mia, you’re gorgeous! The colors are so fun too.
Good luck getting the newsletter off the ground. It’s enough for me to stay on top of content for the blog – I can’t imagine adding extra on top of it! Sounds like it’ll be a good place for some more focused photography discussion though.

    • Emily, I know, but the majority of people wanted once a month, so I can handle that. And then I feel like I can use it as a place to answer questions that I get via email but don’t necessarily want to respond to on the blog. Hopefully it’s useful!
