I am really honored to be able to post that some of the beautiful weddings we’ve shot are currently being featured!  The lovely Elizabeth over at Bridal Musing just posted a gorgeous feature on Andi’s Buenos Aires Destination wedding and there’s lots of text telling the story from the bride’s point of view.

And the online magazine Smitten is currently showing Virginie and Pierre’s stunning wedding in the countryside of France. They’re shown starting on page 197. The entire magazine is bursting with eye candy though, check it out and take your time flipping through!

So what if it’s a puzzle and you’re the only piece, the only jig to make my saw complete?

Continuing my Happiness Project and telling Seba I love him more often. I adore him and I adore this song, surprisingly sung by Leighton Meester from Gossip Girl.

Reasons why anybody would love Robin and Matt:

  1. They’re the kind of couple who puts Avril Lavigne on their wedding playlist ironically.
  2. They home brewed their beer for the wedding.
  3. Matt is the kind of guy who can rock a plaid clover colored jacket.
  4. Robin is the kind of girl who loves a guy who rocks a plaid clover colored jacket.
  5. Robin chose the wedding colors based off of a football team (Jets, FYI).
  6. Matt jumps up and down when he’s excited. It’s adorable.
  7. Robin jumps up and down…all night long when she gets married. She has endless energy.

Reasons why we love Robin and Matt:

  1. They’re really freaking funny.
  2. They’re the kind of people who inspire loyalty. How often do you see big groups of friends that have stayed as close as one big dysfunctional family (their words, not mine) even after college has long since ended and everybody lives on opposite coasts from each other?
  3. They walked down the aisle together. That has to be my favorite non-traditional wedding tradition ever.
  4. They have a (genius) nerdy side that they fully embrace.
  5. They know how to have fun — I mean, c’mon, they play ultimate frisbee!

Robin and I have been emailing back and forth for almost a year now. I get to know a lot of the brides and grooms we photograph in Chile. But it’s much harder to form a closer relationship with a couple who lives far away. I felt lucky that the last time we were in the Bay area she and Matt took time out of their extremely hectic lives to meet up for dinner.

And I’m grateful to Robin for taking the time to write me back and allow me to get to know her better. As time went on, we realized that for two women that live on opposite ends of the world and work in completely different fields, we have quite a bit in common. So really, it was no big shocker to me that we freaking LOVED every minute of Robin and Matt’s crazy awesome day.

Hehe, I like the repetition of these next two shots. Mmmm, sandwiches (said in Homer voice).

Pretty sure that the hair and makeup woman, Kim, wasn’t quite sure what to make of Robin and her ladies in waiting. They talked about football the whole time and when Kim asked, “Who has a curling iron they could use to touch up Robin’s hair if it goes flat?” all the girls looked around with confused looks and then Colleen ventured, “I have a flat iron. Oh. Yeaaaaaah. I guess that’s the opposite of what you want?”

I definitely fit in with this group. I knew that if anybody said, “What color should the accents be — apricot or salmon?” I wouldn’t have been the only one reaching for my phone to google and try to figure out whether those are actually two different colors, or not. And I wouldn’t have been the only one who didn’t really care :)

I love this shot. LOVE. Matt looks so peaceful.

A little bit of Mad Men in this one, no?

EFFFFF, my plane is boarding. Will finish captioning this post later.
