What an amazing day. We left this photo session and I said to Seba, “Weon, amo nuestra gente.” That roughly translates into “Dude, I love our people.” So yes. I would like to inform you all that if you’ve been photographed by us or if you’re going to get photographed by us, you are officially considered to be “our people.” And I love you.

We spent the entire session with Claudia and Sebastian shooting the shit, just talking about life and love and travel and babies. Oh yeah, and in between all that we did take a few pictures. Claudia and Sebastian are crazy adventurous, live your dreams kind of people. They’re the kind of people who inspire you to pack it all up and take off to go photograph monks in Asia. They’re the kind of people who inspire you to believe in the Chilean dream.

And now that they’ve done it all, they decided to create a little human being. Olivia. This little baby is going to be born into so much love. She’s already so lucky and she doesn’t even know it. I think that the most blessed child is one who is born to two parents who are insanely in love with each other and in love with life. That’s the world that Olivia is coming into. We can’t wait to meet her.

Also, on another note…every post somebody asks if all the couples we photograph are gorgeous. And then Miss DecoyBetty asked if only beautiful couples gravitate to us to be photographed, or if we just make everybody we photograph look awesome. But c’mon now. That’s like asking what comes first — the chicken or the egg! And I’ll tell you right now — Claudia and Sebastian need no help looking lovely in picture. Claudia is hands down one of the most stunning pregnant women I’ve ever seen!

Let’s just start right off the bat with my favorite picture of the day. BAM! Loooooooove it so SO much!

Hehe, this one is so fun. Claudia and Sebastian are like a painting hanging up in their own living room :)

A space for Olivia’s picture.

This is another of my faves. Feels so intimate, like Seba and I weren’t even there taking their photo :)

These next pictures…Claudia…wow. WOW!

Claudia and Sebastian are very into nature and gardening so I thought it’d be fun to make them look like they’re in the middle of somewhere a little greener than Santiago.

It’s been a while since we’ve done one of these, but I think they’re fun, so here goes nothing :)

Seba and I…hard at work.

Man, I really do love this job. Don’t get me wrong — it actually is incredibly, incredibly hard work. But. Buuuut. IT’S SO MUCH FUN. I’m a never say never kind of person. Who knows. Tomorrow may find me hunched over a desk working at a stereotypical office job that I hate. You never know. It could happen, and I’m not against anything that pays the bills. As long as you’re supporting your family and not hurting anyone, I say go for it.

But it is definitely hard to imagine working for a real boss — especially when I look through these images and think how much we’ve had shooting all the amazing couples we’ve worked with.

Here’s Seba, testing the light for me at Sam and Titi’s photobooth.

This is me at Francine and Andre’s just because photo session in Shoreditch, in London.

Shooting the enchanting Monna and Damien in Barcelona. Man, these photos remind me how much I adore these two!

This is another from my favorite country in the world to visit/photograph, Spain! We were soooo incredibly lucky to be able to meet up with the adorable Cynthia and Adrian and shoot another session with them in Vilanova!

This moment ranks in Sebas all time top ten favorite wedding moments — when Maria and Luis gave him the most kick ass rooster cotillón hat ever because they remembered how much Seba loves cotillón. Seriously, that has to be one of the most thoughtful things anyone has ever done for us, EVER!

My super duper fab friend, Washington D.C. wedding photographer Leo Druker, snapped this of me shooting Claudia and Manu’s Paris city hall wedding. I was just reminiscing today about how much I would like to get to hang out with them again and for them to meet Seba.

I adore these two adorable Tampa Bay loverbirds…even when Seba photo bombs a perfectly good shot.

This is a more recent one — me shooting during Amy and Mauricio’s engagement session in Santiago last weekend.

Annnnd, those are Seba’s footsies.

Mmm, ice cream. Thank you Virginie and Pierre for allowing us to partake of your delicious dessert truck from your gorgeous wedding in the countryside of Lyon, France.

Juan Carlos and Claudia got married. It was awesome. The End.

Juan Carlos y Claudia se casaron. Fue increible. El Fin.

JUST KIDDING!

BROMA!

I’ve been writing short blog posts for the past couple of photo previews that I’ve been putting up because I just didn’t have time, but you didn’t think I would let these two appear a third time on the blog this month without extolling their virtues, did you?

Juan Carlos and Claudia are amazing. Juan Carlos has a really sarcastic sense of humor. He keeps Claudia laughing non-stop. Half the time at our session with them and at their wedding, he’d say something with a stone cold face and I’d think he was completely serious and start responding to whatever absurd request he was making at the time…only to realize that he was joking and then practically fall on the floor cracking up. It gets even funnier when Claudia starts responding because she gives it right back to them. These two should seriously go on the road because they are FUNNY.

They were the kind of bride and groom that we absolutely love to photograph — both relaxed and laid back during the entire day. They were this way pretty much through their entire planning process too, I’m gathering. When they hired us we were in Europe and I tried to set up a Skype chat. Their response? “Nah, we don’t need to Skype. You come highly recommended. We believe our friends.”

“Nah, no necesitamos Skype. Vienen bastante recomendados. Confiamos en nuestros amigos.”

Seba and I spent the entire day with giant smiles on our faces. Not just because Juan Carlos and Claudia are hilarious, but because we’re so lucky to do this job and be a part of people’s lives in this way. We spent the day with them, amongst friends. We took pictures of them during their happiest moments. They opened themselves up to us completely and let us get to know them better, which really allows us to make frames that represent who they are as a couple. I strongly feel that it is a privilege to be allowed into someone’s intimate world this way — we were absolutely honored to be a part of Claudia and Juan Carlos’ wedding.

Juan Carlos was nervous! So cute :)

Juan Carlos estaba nervioso! Que lindo :)

The bagpipe players were a really cool touch.
