A few words come to mind when I think of Jeannette — giggly, hilarious, silly, full of love and life, happy-go-lucky and young at heart. She’s one of those people who is just so fun that it’s contagious. When you meet her, you might be fooled and think that she’s shy. Jeannette is a little quiet and reserved…for all of two seconds around new people.
My very first memory of Jeannette is when I had to call her on the phone because we were going to be freshman year roommies at University of Tampa. When I got my listing, I thought, “Oh cool, a Spanish speaking Honors floor nerd like me, I can’t wait!” The first time we spoke, I said something about reading a book for teeny-boppers and she paused…a long pause. I thought I’d done something wrong or said something stupid. Then when she finally spoke, she said, “I can I’m going to like you. You just used the word ‘teeny-boppers’ in a conversation.”
And that’s how our eternal, undying love for each other began
As for Daniel…well, what can I say? He’s a photographer. A professional photojournalist. So you know, that’s a little nerve-wracking. Shooting other photographers always puts the pressure on to bring it. And he makes Jeannette giggle her famous giggle. All. The. Time. I love him for that alone. Even if I never get to know him better, if all I ever know of him is that he makes her giggle all the time, that’s enough to make me like him.
I want this below shot framed on my wall. Love it, so so much.
I also think this next series of three is abso-fricken-lutely ADORABLE.
Oh-so-crazy about this frame!
And of course, since Daniel actually knows how to use my camera and Jeannette and I are still in love after all these years, we had to get a photo together. It was 11am during the Florida summer, so we were looking a little worse for the wear, but I love that we have a picture of our reunion!!! Thank you, Daniel!
