Mar and David.
David and Mar.
Mar and David.
Que bien que estamos cuando estamos bien.
I have been looking forward to this wedding ever since Mar got engaged. I knew that I had to be there, had to photograph it!
Mar was our family’s exchange student…12 or so years ago? I think I was 16 when she came to live with us and learn English. My family has always had exchange students, but Mar was the one I hit it off with. She and I have stayed in contact throughout the years and last year when Seba and I were in Barcelona she showed us around and we had the chance to reconnect.
I couldn’t have been happier to see her. Why? Because she hasn’t changed a bit. She’s the same sweet girl now that she was when she was just a kid, when we first met. Some people lose that joy of being a child and seeing the world through a trouble-free lens, but not Mar. She’s quick to laugh and giggle at everything, quick to hug and love, quick to grin, quick to be joyful. I love that about her so SO much.
Her wedding day was the most perfect representation of her and David. It was small, personal, intimate, laid-back and just so free and happy! Mar and David’s bliss was contagious and all the guests walked around smiling ear to ear the entire day. I couldn’t be more thrilled that I got to be a part of this gorgeous wedding in Spain, it was such an honor!
PS. MASSIVE thank you to Sjoerd Booij, a wedding photographer in Amsterdam, for coming out and shooting this with me. He does amazing work, check him out!

A car broke down on the side of the road when we were about 30 minutes from the ceremony and a Spain’s version of AAA couldn’t come for at least a half an hour to tow it. Mar stayed cool and never got stressed or upset!
The town of Gratallops is a small, stunning little city nestled in the heart of part of Spanish wine country. So pretty.

Favorite entrance shot EVER. Love it.

Grandma! Love and happiness and tears all over the place

Mar and David did their first dance outside right at sunset and it was incredibly romantic!
