Some of my clients already know this, as she started this week, but I’d like to make the announcement that I’ve hired my mom, Rita, on to help me out with business!
I’m very, very excited about this new addition. First of all, because she’s mom. I love my mom. Everybody loves their moms and thinks theirs is the best. But mine really is The Best. If there were a mom-off, the way people do cook-offs, she’d definitely win the gold.
Rita speaks Spanish and English obviously, so she’ll be answering my emails, scheduling my life (which she’s been doing since I was born, so this isn’t a big departure from my current reality) and doing all the hard stuff so that I can continue to enjoy and love what I do — spend time with my clients and take amazing photos of them while doing so.
Her official title is Coordinator of Chaos and Director of Enjoyment. AKA, the Momager.
She came with to Mar and David’s wedding in Spain because she’s Mar’s Rita Mama (Mar studied abroad with us when she was a kid, so she’s my hermanita!).
As you can see, Rita enjoys long walks on the beach, doing triathlons and drinking champagne and talking serious business with her favoritest daughter in the whole wide world (me! That’s me!).
I’m really excited to have her as part of this little operation and extremely happy to have my time freed up to put towards growing my business and having fun. All the time
PS. To answer everyone’s question, YES, I am paying her. No, it’s not very much. No, she won’t be traveling to weddings with me, even though she’d be a fabulous assistant, I’m sure.
