I’m so out of order with my posts…buuuut, as you may or may not know, my mom and I were in Spain together a few weeks ago! We had the most amazing time road-tripping throughout the country. One of the highlights was the city of Granada and our wonderful stay in the Casa Morisca Hotel.
The hotel takes it’s name Morisca because “Morisco is the name given to the Muslims who stayed on in Granada after the conquest of the city.”
The hotel’s architecture fits in perfectly with the city’s Moorish roots. It used to be a (huge) house, all the way back in the 15th century. Talk about old!
It was restored by a famous Spanish architect, but still retains so much authenticity of the era.
When I hung out in the lobby I felt transported back in time!
The hotel sits in a superb location — about a 15 minute walk from the Alhambra You have views of the palace literally the second you step out the door of the hotel.
I think my mine and my mom’s favorite part of the hotel was this gorgeous outdoor patio. Beautiful light and so relaxing.
My mom and I enjoyed relaxing at Casa Morisca while in Granada, if you are headed that way you should definitely check it out!
Disclaimer: According to the FTC rules I have to tell you that Casa Morisca sponsored our hotel stay. However, please note — I am not being forced to blog about this and I wouldn’t say any of it if it weren’t true.
