Sevilla Hotels | Corral del Rey

Staying at the Corral del Rey was SUCH a lovely experience from start to finish. We were tired and a little cranky from navigating the super skinny streets of Sevilla, that were not made for modern day cars to fit through and are laid out more like a maze than an actual city. But as soon as we walked into the hotel and were greeted with cold lemonade and snacks while we checked in, our stress melted away.

Corral del Rey was a 17th century palace converted now into this gorgeous boutique hotel. The beautifully ornate ceilings were my favorite part of the room!

Since I was on an actual vacation with my mom, I wasn’t working much, but even the desk space was inviting!

So this may seem like a strange thing to have taken a photo of — but I was amazed. This hotel seriously thought of everything. They had makeup remover cotton pads! I couldn’t believe it! That was just one of many little details that made this hotel room one of the most perfect I’ve ever stayed in. There were also outlets for American plugs, Spanish plugs and some other kind of European plugs. SO IMPRESSED. Whoever designed these rooms was a freaking genius!

The hotel is set in the heart of Sevilla in the old Barrio Alfafa. The roads are cobblestone and the architecture has been meticulously preserved. You feel like you’ve gone back in time.

And one of the coolest parts about this hotel is the artwork. You feel like you’re staying at a (very comfortable and luxurious) museum!

There is a super chic bar right as you walk in. Sadly, my mom and I didn’t have time to sit and have a drink, we were too busy running around Sevilla, but we’ll definitely be back someday to enjoy a cocktail!

My absolute favorite part of the hotel was the rooftop. At Corral del Rey they’ll serve your breakfast at whatever time you wake up. You can have it ordered to your room, eat in the dining room, OR have it brought up to the rooftop terrace. DUH. No choice. We wanted rooftop terrace morning coffee!

There’s a lovely little pool up there, and lots of nice sunny spots for lounging.

Mmmmm. Yummy food. Perfect after a night out on the town.

Look at me…happy as a little clam!

I adored staying at Corral del Rey and I’d recommend it so highly to anyone planning a trip to beautiful Sevilla!
