Ahhhh, I don’t even know where to begin with this amazing day!!! Well, actually, yes I do. Let’s rewind. A few weeks ago, I shot Carolina and Hernan’s engagement session at Cerro Santa Lucia. It was a beautiful day with beautiful light and beautiful models. All good. I was happy. THEN. We went out for a little champagne to celebrate the shoot. We started chatting and realized we have so much in common! Carolina and Hernan are runners…well Hernan is a marathon runner and Carolina is just starting to get into it, but they’re both crazy fit. But above and beyond all of us really liking to run, I feel like that one small thing in common opened up the floodgates for them to let me in and for me to adore this couple with all of my heart.
Their wedding was held at the beautiful Casas del Bosque Vineyard. I drove out there with Carolina and her twin sister — they were adorably chatty as if it were any other day in their lives…until they arrived at the venue. Then the nerves hit! As soon as Carolina put on her dress and waited for the ceremony to begin it suddenly became real! When she walked up the path to where Hernan was waiting, the emotions overcame her and everybody in the audience and so many people started to cry. The ceremony was the perfect representation of them as a couple — spontaneous and meaningful and so wonderful. I was crying like a baby behind my camera! I adore their hearts and their willingness to open up and share their love with everyone that was their that day.
